Dr. Manoj Abraham after having served 5 years in the US Navy as a naval optometrist has settled down at this independant practice.
Dr. Abraham had been working in a hospital setting for the United States Navy and for the Dept of Veteran Affairs and earned various honors during his time as an hospital based optometrist.
Dr. Abraham is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry which requires pursuing additional scholastic work after optometry school. It is a distinction held by less than 10% of the practicing optometrist in the United States.
Dr. Abraham is well recognized as a teacher and a mentor in optometry. To date he has supervised over 50 optometry students and holds faculty position in 7 different colleges of optometry including the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry. He also given lectures to other optometrist in facets of optometry.
Dr. Abraham saw over 10,000 patients in South America, aboard a navy ship for seven months and is fluent in medical Spanish
He is knowledgeable about things you and your family can do to prevent your eyes from getting worse every year. He is at the forefront of optometrists who keep to date on the latest research about worsening eyes and increasing prescription among American youth and adults.
